... etc.  The file I'm trying to convert is simply the downloaded
version from the nrel website.  I can get my weather data into this
sort of text format, so I just need to be able to get it back to bin!!!<br>
  <br>
However, I keep getting the following error:<br>
  <br>
--- ERROR --- END OF FILE READ.  TAPE TYPE TMY2  <br>
  <br>
Some solutions others have suggested that have not worked so far...<br>
  <br>
1.  Try using energy plus to convert the file to an energy plus format,
just to make sure that the source file is valid--Energy Plus had no
problem with the file<br>
  <br>
2.  Is the INPUT.TM2 text in exactly the right format (correct number
of spaces and station ID numbers)--Yes, this is exactly as demonstrated
here (<a
 href="http://lists.onebuilding.org/pipermail/bldg-sim-onebuilding.org/2008-May/007524.html">http://lists.onebuilding.org/pipermail/bldg-sim-onebuilding.org/2008-May/007524.html</a>),
with two spaces between the "TMY2" and station ID on line 3, and a
5-digit station ID which matches the WEATHER.TMP file.<br>
  <br>
3.  When the files are saved as TMP files, are they WEATHER.TMP.TXT and
INPUT.TMP.TXT, or are they truly TMP files--They are truly TMP files.
In the explorer, under "TYPE" they are identified as TMP files.<br>
  <br>
Thanks everyone for your suggestions please let me know if you have any
others.<br>

 style="font-size: 12pt;">Hi All,<br>
      <br>
I've seen a bunch of questions on the list-serve about creating custom
weather files, but never figured out how to do it myself.<br>
      <br>
I've been able to create a custom CSV file (and then removed all
commas), so I should now have a custom TMY file.  How do I get it into
BIN format so eQuest can read it?  I downloaded the conversion files
from DOE2 (<a href="http://doe2.com/index_Wth.html" target="_blank">http://doe2.com/index_Wth.html</a>),
but can't get them to work so far.  Does anyone have a more complete
description of how to make them work?  Also, I am running Vista... not
sure if this is a problem as the conversion programs are DOS based.<br>
      <br>
Thanks,<br>
