are two versions of each - both do the same robust engineering
calculations, but one is much simpler with standard values input via
menus. Some common features of all the programs:<br><br>* all calculations done on one screen<br>* file size less than 2 megs total (1 meg zipped)<br>* they are based on standard engineering calculations<br>* full windows operation with help screens, which include complete instructions<br>* offered free since 1998 with my McGraw-Hill textbooks <u>Retrofitting for Energy Conservation</u> and <u>Electrical Design Guide for Commercial Buildings</u><br>* written in Fortran and made into Windows applications using Winteracter<br>*
all the programs have been around for at least ten years, starting with
spreadsheets, then dBase, then Windows dBase, and now Windows Fortran
applications<br><br>The introductory level programs are intended for
non-engineers, i.e. architects, business owners, or contractors, so the
user interface is simple, intuitive, and easy to understand. Another
use would be as quick pop ups for engineers doing CAD work, since they
are so small. The full programs are based on the same calculations
