shared memory system environment? Most new CPUs are dual core or quad core.
So running a simulation on these computers will only use, at best 50% of the CPU
resources. So this is a great way to speed up the simulation

advantage of this since both the Intel and gcc 4.2 compilers support the OpenMP
standard, and was wondering if EnergyPlus already allows for this.
