Computer modeling and simulation of the project is required during the schematic phase to determine optimum the envelope, systems and plant based on economic payback. In 1994, he received a PhD of HVACR engineering from Tsinghua University, China. He is a registered mechanical engineer in California, a LEED Accredited Professional, an AEE Certified Energy Manager, and a member of ASHRAE, AEE, and IBPSA.
