OPEN SOURCE PROGRAMS and BEST INTERFACES for ENERGYPLUS<BR><BR></FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="Gill Sans MT" size=2>
<DIV><FONT face="Gill Sans MT" size=2>Hello all...</FONT></DIV>
<DIV><FONT face="Gill Sans MT" size=2>I am working on a technology grant for
the Ecosa Institute, a budding ecological design school in Prescott, AZ,
attracting student from all design disciplines. Our practice-based
educational model engages students in real projects with real clients.
The projects range from single-family homes to large institutional
buildings. Keeping up with the latest technology is a challenging
task for our non-profit and I am exploring the most effective ways
to do so. I am looking into applying for a technology grant to
fund products that will support the use of open source programs
for graphic design, architectural drafting, site/building systems/energy
modeling, etc. If anyone knows the availability of such programs,
favorites, suggestions, please let me know. I am currently
exploring EnergyPlus and its interface possibilities. Thank
you.</FONT></DIV>
