I just finished modeling 4 temporary-trailer type buildings, all in the
same project. Each trailer had an identical setup in the wizard, the
only difference was their orientation on the land. When I clicked
finish, I went into the zone-level lighting spreadsheet. The Watts Per
Square Foot values for the buildings were: 1.42, 1.42, 1.42, 1.33. <br>

Four identical buildings, yet eQuest created different default lighting
values. This tells me that eQuest took into account the orientation of
the trailer in generating these values (3 bldgs were oriented North, 1
bldg was oriented East).<br>
<br>
To draw from this... My guess is that although you entered similar
parameters for each building, eQuest has generated default assumptions
that are causing the descrepency.<br>

building sizes - small (4300sqM) medium
(7400sqM) large (11300sqM) in three different climates – Hot, cold and
temperate.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

expect energy use on a per sq ft basis
to go down as the building goes up in size.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;">In this case the annual
energy use per sq ft is the highest
in the medium size building, it’s the lowest in the large building and
is
slightly higher than the large in the small building.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font face="Arial" size="2"><span
style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;"><o:p> </o:p></span></font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font face="Arial" size="2"><span
style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;">For instance in the cold
climate it is – <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font face="Arial" size="2"><span
style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;">Small – 70.7 kBtu/SqFt/Yr<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font face="Arial" size="2"><span
style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;">Medium – 85.8 kBtu/Sqft/yr<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font face="Arial" size="2"><span
style="font-size: 10pt; font-family: Arial;">Large – 68.2 kBtu/sqft/yr<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><font face="Arial" size="2"><span

three buildings are same, and the
buildings are similar in design. The medium size building adds a storey
to
convert to a large building and drops a storey to convert to a small
building.
Then entire design is very generic.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

suggestions as to why this could be
