only data on strawbale homes I know of is the work done by Oak Ridge National
Lab. Their most recent hotbox test of a 19" strawbale wall found it
to have an R-value of 27.5. You can find the test results in the Advanced
Wall Systems database at : <A

house<BR><BR></FONT></DIV>
<DIV>Dear All,</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I am working on a project for thermal performance analysis of a strawbale
house with ECOTECT in Faculty of Architecture, Middle East Technical University.
The study is a part of a research project for building an
eco-center working on several types pf construction techniques with
local and prefabricated elements. Unfortunately the programe does not
have the material properties ofr strawbale in its material library. I would be
glad for any help regarding to thermal properties of strawbale including
u-value, admittance, solar absorption, thermal degreement, and thermal lag. Any
comments or advices for helpful resources would be welcome...</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>Thanks in advance </DIV>
<DIV>Nesen Surmeli...</DIV>
