Job Opening at UC Berkeley: Conduct Research on Embodied Carbon in the
Built Environment

Reducing carbon embodied in buildings and infrastructure is becoming seen
as an important way to rapidly reduce greenhouse gas emissions that are
contributing to our climate crisis. The Center for the Built Environment
(CBE) <https://cbe.berkeley.edu/> at UC Berkeley is currently seeking
applicants for a new career-track research position to conduct and grow
research on this emerging topic, in order to enable rapid and wide adoption
of construction practices with far lower embodied carbon than projects
today. This new research track is being launched with support from the
ClimateWorks Foundation, in collaboration with the growing research team at
the Carbon Leadership Forum.

Feel free to share with folks who may be interested, or to reach out with
questions. Applicants should refer to the job posting on UC Berkeley’s
recruitment page: Assistant/Associate Researcher - Center for the Built
Environment - CEDR (JPF03464) <https://aprecruit.berkeley.edu/JPF03464>

Regards,
Paul
