The process of building performance simulation is often a time consuming
task. Significant time can be spent building the model,
running/tuning/troubleshooting,
and finally reporting results. Matt Steen from Ambient Energy will
present a spreadsheet-based tool that automates creating models and
reporting results using OpenStudio with the goal of making the energy
modeling process more effective.

Matt Steen is a Building Performance Engineer at Ambient Energy where he
develops sophisticated energy models to evaluate the performance of new and
existing commercial buildings to meet local codes, third-party
certification, and client goals. He has over four years of experience
evaluating energy efficiency and renewable energy for residential,
commercial, and industrial buildings/facilities. His primary interest is
using computer programming to improve the process of building performance
simulation to answer challenging design decisions.
