What to expect:
EDGE is an online application which enables designers to review their design and fine tune to achieve higher, energy saving, water saving and embodied energy of materials saving. EDGE uses cloud computing to provide live response to any change in the user inputs. It covers, building architecture, MEP systems as well as water and materials. The interface is user friendly and ties into World Bank’s EDGE green building certification system seamlessly. It has specific tools for various building types which makes it tailored to each building use with minimal user inputs, while providing flexibility to user to change the systems and inputs.

About the Presenter:
Ommid Saberi is IFC’s Senior Industry Specialist for Green Buildings, Ommid Saberi leads the technical development of the EDGE online application and certification for green building projects. Before joining IFC, Ommid advised on sustainability strategies for property development projects in the UK, Middle East and Asia, including serving as the head of the Sustainability and Energy team. Ommid is an architect and building physicist by training with seventeen years of experience in sustainable design and practice.
