Groundhog is a free and open source SketchUp extension that puts the accuracy of Radiance behind the simplicity of an amazingly simple 3D modelling tool. The tool itself has been designed with the purpose of expanding the correct use of Lighting Analysis on Academy, Industry and Schools. With that in mind, it is Open Source, Openly Documented, promotes collaboration between users and offers a descentralized technical support. Its Online Resources (i.e. more than 500 materials with measured properties available online) allow creating better models in less time, and being a SketchUp-based means that it is free for some purposes and works on both Mac and Windows.
