Photovoltaic glass offers buildings the opportunity to generate their own electricity from the entire envelope: curtain wall and rainscreen cladding systems, domes, louvers, guardrails and other building applications are suitable to use PV Glass and reduce the building’s carbon footprint.

This session will offer an overview of the main solar technologies currently used in building integrated photovoltaic applications, as well as their performance depending on different variables such as climatic zone, building’s orientation, and application type.

For the past seven years, Diego has introduced the Onyx’s PV Glass to the most prominent architecture and engineering firms in the world, such as Foster+Partners, Gensler, SOM, KPF, RVAPC, HOK, HKS; he has helped them understanding the characteristics of PV Glass and its value proposition. Under his leadership, Onyx Solar has signed contracts and supplied its photovoltaic glass to customers such as Apple Inc, Novartis Pharmaceuticals, Miami Heat, Coca-Cola, Hines, and Heineken and others.
