Please join IBPSA Boston and the IBPSA-USA Research Committee this
Wednesday for our next event:

*The Simulation Horizon: Research Conference Roundup*

*Time*
Wednesday, February 10, 6:30 PM EST

*RSVP*
*Webinar*: https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/775114288520292097
*Attend in person*: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/the-simulation-horizon-

Every year exciting new research about building performance simulation is
introduced to our community at conferences. Unfortunately, most simulation
professionals and companies do not have a chance to participate. Boston
chapter members who attended the recent ASHRAE Energy ModelingConference
(Atlanta), IBPSA International Conference (Hyderabad), the ASHRAE Winter
Conference (Orlando) will be presenting what they found most interesting,
ground breaking, and potentially useful. Each 5-10 minutes presentation
will focus on one topic and give a taste of the conference. Group
discussions are a key feature of our events and we will wrap up with a
brief discussion about the potential impact of these findings on the future
of professional practice.

Planned speakers and presentation topics:

Christoph Reinhart

*Urban scale energy modelling and practice applications*
Carlos Cerezo Davila

*Modeling occupant behavior uncertainty for urban modelling*
Nathaniel Jones

*New tools for daylighting assessment and simulation*
Elliot Glassman

*Facade optimization with adaptive transparent and opaque assemblies*
Cody Rose

*Automated model generation based on existing building documentation*
Irmak Turan

*Advances for effective building lifecycle design*
Alejandra Menchaca

*Accurate modeling of double skin facades with buoyancy driven airflow*
David Blum

*Next generation building energy modeling for integration with district
energy systems*
Refreshments will be served during the event, and we invite you to join us
after the presentation in a nearby pub for a drink and some networking.

If you plan to attend in person, please RSVP on Eventbrite
