International Building Performance Simulation Association, is a non-profit
international society of building performance simulation researchers,
developers and practitioners, dedicated to improving the built environment. 

The IBPSA published its first book, 'Building Performance Simulation for
Design and Operation' with contributions from 21 expert co-authors
throughout the world. This 536 page book provides a unique and comprehensive
overview of Building Performance Simulation for the complete building life
cycle from conception to demolition. Based on this book, IBPSA have
organised a series of online webinars. Chapter authors have graciously
agreed to offer 30 min webinar followed by Q & A session. Each webinar is
focused on one chapter of book. 

All webinars are free. 

The second webinar of the series is to be held on Thursday, Sept. 1, 2016
by, Prof. Godfried Augenbroe. Professor Godfried Augenbroe directs the PhD
and MS programs in High Performance Building in the School of Architecture
at Georgia Tech. His research covers topics in computational building
simulation, performance based design, uncertainty and risk analysis of
building energy models. During session 2, he will talk about Chapter 2: The
Role of Simulation in Performance Based Building
