[Bldg-sim] Ground Source VRF with Energy Recovery

Basically, IESVE is modifying the WLHP curves to the performance curves of the water-cooled VRV. The heat recovery would be shown through the common water loop in this case. When modeling air-cooled VRV/VRF in IESVE, you setup a CHW loop with a part load chiller curve for the condensing unit. Then engage condenser heat recovery to an air-air heat pump model for heat recovery VRV/VRF. It turns out pretty well.

That was my thoughts for estimating this with trace - modifying the equipment curves. Do you know if IESVE is able to model the refrigerant loop heat recovery for simultaneous heating and cooling as well?

Daikin recently put out a document describing how to model water cooled VRV in IESVE with their performance curves. You could either assume a stable water temperature from the ground field or create a custom profile for the ground return temp.

I am a trace user and looking for a solution for modeling ground source VRF with energy recovery. The software says that it is currently one of Trace's limitations. Does anyone have suggestions for estimating this in Trace or another software?

Thanks,
