[Equest-users] Sizing runs in baseline model

Thanks, David. This pretty much agrees with what GBCI told me.
I left the sub-meter in (creating it and putting stuff on it was a good exercise) and the hood /MUAU on it since it doesn't really impact the outputs - all the power still shows up in the right categories.
Have you ever used system type RESYS2? The current design model uses PSZ but the design systems are actually fancy residential DX / furnace residential split systems. Unfortunately, RESYS2 doesn't allow night cycle fan operation for some reason, which caused me all kinds of unmet cooling hours due to nighttime overrun. I didn't change the fan, cooling or thermostat schedules so the units COULD have come on if needed.
If it can't be forced, I'll leave them as PSZs, as the reviewers didn't comment on it before and it doesn't really impact things much from an energy standpoint, does it?
Take care!
(BTW, sorry about the ovals and arrows wandering off - didn't occur to me that I needed to make a new combined image!)

How about the SS-H report? That will show the fan energy, as well as DX cooling and furnace heating for specific AHU(s).
Task lighting is already broken out separately in the standard end-use report, although if other zones had task lighting then it would be comingled with this process task lighting and not necessarily all process.

Thanks, David. I could have been more clear. The sub-meter first came up when we discussed our big exhaust hood / makeup air unit. They wanted to see that energy shown as process energy. Later in the discussion, and this is where my notes got fuzzy - task lighting and receptacle loads got mentioned as process energy - I don't know if they asked that those be put on the sub-meter too or not.
Here's what I'm looking at
[cid:image002.png at 01CC20FC.5C49CE50][cid:image003.png at 01CC20FC.5C49CE50][cid:image004.png at 01CC20FC.5C49CE50][cid:image002.png at 01CC20FC.5C49CE50][cid:image005.jpg at 01CC20FC.5C49CE50]

Meter EM1-A is my sub-meter. All three dialogs are in the same zone. If I switch "Task Lighting" and "Elec Equipment" to EM1-A, will eQUEST automatically assign the numbers circled above to this meter? I can't see a way to assign loads to a meter within the zone internal loads dialogs...

I think it shows up pretty clearly as "miscellaneous equipment" end-use in the eQuest reports, so I'm not sure why they asked you about the submeter, unless there was some inquiry about splitting up components of the process load...I think it is an unneeded step, but you'll have to work that out with the reviewer as to why they asked specifically for it.

Hi!
I got the unmet hours fixed in my baseline model. I think it had something to do with the return air path - I had switched them from ducted to plenum (to match design case because I didn't see an App. G requirement for it) but had them as unconditioned.
Back to the sub-metering question. I missed this in my discussion with the review team -would it make sense to put ALL the process power on the sub-meter as a way to directly see it? Seems that way to me. For our project process power includes:
* Receptacles (office equipment and task lights)
* Refrigeration
* Cooking
I don't think there are any difficulties in assigning these to the sub-meter. I see there are places to directly assign them in the meter properties - is there a risk of duplicating / double-counting them if they're also entered at the zone / system inputs?
Thanks, all. Have a great Memorial Day weekend and take a moment to thank a Vet!
