See page 22 (of 49) for the inlet mains equation, alonog with a plot of
Chicago IL TMY2 results so you can Q/A your implementation of Equation 4
(correct placement of parenthesis in this makes a BIG difference)

Hello everyone,
I am trying to model domestic water heaters and need to estimate entering
water temperature. Is there any database or procedure that I can use to
estimate this value? I am doing spreadsheet calcs using hourly output. I
would appreciate your suggestions and advice.
