[Equest-users] PVVT vs. PSZ

I'd like to propose an answer my own question to the group and ask if
this makes sense... I'm getting additional baseboard heat in some of the
PVVT zones.

Take the several zones a unit serves. One of them is the control zone,
same for PSZ and PVVT. For a PSZ when the control zone is satisfied the
other zones are also satisfied, because there is no additional baseboard
heat, the constant airflow must be keeping the other zones satisfied.
For a PVVT the control zone is satisfied, and airflow reduces and the
other zones are not satisfied requiring additional baseboard heat.

Subject: [Equest-users] PVVT vs. PSZ

Hello,

I'm comparing a PVVT against PSZ systems in the DD wizard mode. On the
heating side I'm keeping everything the same, that is furnaces at 80%
AFUE and baseboard, all heating settings including the boilers are set
up the same. I'm getting more fuel use for the PVVT system than the PSZ
system. Can anyone explain why that is?

thanks,
