Hi Sara,
I'm also new to using eQuest and have had a similar
problem. My work around is to use the Greenfield Garden tutorial drawing
that is included with the eQuest Training Supplement which I downloaded
from the eQuest website: http://www.doe2.com/download/equest/eQUESTv3-40_Tutorial.exe
I
mark the lower left corner of the existing building on the Greenfield
Garden drawing, then I delete that drawing. I copy & paste my AutoCAD
drawing into this drawing, using the corner of the building as my
reference point. I know it's not an elegant solution, but it
works!

Fellow users,
I have what is probably a
very simple question, so I'm hoping someone
knows the answer. I am a
new eQUEST user, and I am trying to model a
building with an
imported AutoCAD drawing to use as the building
footprint. When I do
this, it doesn't give me the window prompts to
enter dimensions, and
as a result, the building area is completely off.
Is there any way
to be able to put in the building dimensions I need so
I can
complete the calculations? Thanks for any help you can give.
