Hello All,
I have another post waiting on moderator approval due to the file
attachments but I have run into some issues that I can't figure out
what's happening. I am working in 3.63b.
I am working on a mid rise condo building going for LEED certification.
For my baseline ASHRAE App G calls for PTHP (PTAC in eQuest) with a
constant volume fan. I have selected all of the appropriate parameters
in the wizard mode (auto-size flow, cv fan, etc. ) however when I
switch to detailed edit the systems show up as a two-speed fan. To add
to my confusion, the SS-R report shows hours across the spectrum in the
part load ranges. I have 4 main systems all set up to be system per
zone. There are about 64 zones that these systems serve.
I started working on my proposed model - using residential split system
heat pump systems. In wizard mode I specified systems types, flows,
capacities etc. Now when I run the model the systems come up as PVVT and
eQuest seems to be auto-sizing the flowrate because I get errors that
the supply air flowrate is less than 10 CFM. When I check the flow
parameters in detailed edit the zones are all across the board in their
supply air quantities rather than being the specified flow.
I uninstalled eQuest and re-installed it with no luck in fixing
anything. Has anyone else run into any of these issues or know of any
fixes short of going into detailed edit and changing every system (70+
in my case).
My PD2 and INP files will show up later when the moderator hopefully
releases them.
Thanks in advance.
